Digging through a box I got at a show and I found half a dozen of these "errors" from some collectors group. I am curious if these seem to have any value but I don't know where to look. Here are a couple samples. (Please contact me directly with all bids over $10,000

The error here is pretty obvious. Also a non perf variety?

The error on this stamp is that they were imperf and printed in only one color? Stamp was from 1909?

Regarding the Guinea stamps, Scott has a note that states

Quote:
From late 1962 onwards, most Guinea stamps exist imperforate.

The Guinea stamp at right is probably a color proof.

The Hyderabad stamps are simply essays. Hyderabad never issued stamps in that exact design. This

is the nearest Hyderabad got to it.

There are a lot of your Hyderabad essays on the market - far more than there are Hyderabad specialists to buy them - so their value is debatable. They're probably worth whatever you can get for them on the day, but it won't be very much: a few dollars perhaps.

Oh, and the Hyderabad were never issued in more than one colour, and the date is more likely around 1905, when the orange version appeared. The green ½ Anna stamp appeared in 1908. The Indian States are full of traps for young players like this, though it really shouldn't put you off them!
