Hi all. A few months back gussyboy1 requested for some error stamps to be posted. Here is one of my favorite error stamps which you might find interesting. At first I thought it was a post mint error. I call it the Masked Rider. I believe it is a late '79 or early '80s Saudi Arabia stamp and I don't have the Scott No. gigi Image: KSARegular.JPG26.72 KB Image: KSAError.JPG26.19 KB Image: KSA1A.JPG93.7 KB

Bellow are errors, flaws or printers waste. Call it what you like, in my opinion they should all be destroyed at sours but once they are sold on the market they are collectible. What do you think? |

It's amazing just how much printer's waste and other errors get past all the security and into the hands of collectors. I understand the power of cash, but it's still amazing. |

Hi golvacz, I believe they are error stamps. As far as value is concerned, I can't help you there. I have never sold any good or error stamps and never will.

Golovacz - they are certainly collectible. And to the right person with the right collecting gene I would imagine they would have a decent value.
BTW, there's only three members online right now, and there's no adult supervision. We could get into a lot of trouble. |

Hello gigi....
The stamps you've shown are not errors......but they are interesting freaks.
Freaks are oddities that occur intermittently during production. Errors are oddities that happen in the same position on every sheet during production. |

Thanks nr-notrare for showing me the way. Now here is a real error stamp given to me by my brother. Philippine stamp Scott 357. First error, Pagsanjan is spelled with a G, Pagsangan. Second, the falls shown on the stamp is actually Vernal Falls in Yosemite Park, USA. gigi |
