Very interesting embossed envelope error.

I was curious as to the background history of the return addressee, Protected Home Circle of Sharon, PA, and found this link to contain interesting information on the organization and its eventual demise:

No problem Bob
I also have the Number 1 card ple I too have that piece of stationery from Belgium that you scanned.

Any time I go to a stamp show, I like to go through the dealer's boxes and search for these. What I am trying to find lately are those Belgian stationery items that have the ' - 10% ' surcharges. I have stamps, covers and even some of the postal statinery pieces with that. One can make a specialized collection alone out of this topic. These were introduced in 1946, right after the war.

Happy collecting to all

Nice pieces of stationery Thomas.

Some of those EFO (Error Freaks & Oddities) types can be quite interesing to say the least. You were lucky to come across those.

I do not have many pieces from the US but for Canada, there are some odd varieties with those as well, particularly from the Queen Victorian era.
