Kongeligt Post Freimaerk, Danish, or it`s former colony. Non issued? Proof?
Rbs.=Rigbanksdaler. One rigbanksdaler=96 rigbankskilling. Just a guess, but `daler` sounds familiar- probably the same as the Thaler, taller (hung.), daalder (dutch), dollar. And I found it, interesting article:- from Joachimsthal, where the first such coins were minted.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thaler
There is also a description, that fits, here, scroll to Denmark. It calls the `essays`:

Thanks warrehouse, thanks wadmalatz,
I feel I have seen the Mercury one queried somewhere before,

I presume you are referring to KGL FRM
with "Kongeligt Post Freimaerk"

So perhaps a Danish Local.

And now I know the engravers name too :). Martinus William Ferslew, essays from 1849 & 1852. See also Denmark, scott #565 (stamp on stamp). For more gossip, here`s a general article about `Hermes` heads, see page 5 (it`s PDF):

A most unflattering image of the King,
so I just had to chase him up....King Frederick 7

A most likeable King by all accounts
also an Antiquarian, which is a shame for him really
because he was born too early to become a stamp collector
which he surely would have been.
