I know nothing about Straits Settlements except for what I can read in the Scotts catalog. Does the cancel on the $25 KGV indicate postal or fiscal use?

Welcome Neweden. I too recently joined and I believe you will find a wealth of information here. I know that I have already. And some pretty nice people.
tomiseksj.. unfortunately the cancel that you see is a revenue one, the postal cancels for these are harder to find than hens teeth. I should point out here that I only collect used stamps, and whilst I do have some mint stuff my primary interests are with BC stamps..
