Hi All,

I'm Rik de Graaff, 18 years old and come from Holland.
I study now PHP & MySQL Professional, because I love computers!
I am collecting stamps from when I was 8 years old.
So that is now about 10 years...

I have Autism, with a social phobia, so I come almost not outside my house.
That is very annoying, and depressing.

Well, now about the stamps:

First I collected all the stamps from over the whole world.
Now since a few months I focus me on stamps from the UK.
That is a nice country, and close to Holland .

Well, I hope I have a nice stay here, and that you all can help me if I need help!

That was it.

Kind Regards,

Rik de Graaff

Rik I have been to Arnhem a couple of times...my wife is from Laren, N.H. ! I have a Netherlands collection, my favorite era is the 1950's with the semi postals and first day covers..i used to have a subscription with the P.T.T. but then in the 1970's they started flooding the market with too many sheetlets and such !!

Okay, I only know Laren by name.
Never been there.

And your are totally right, we Dutch are too much changing from stamps to an other type.
Here an example: First Queen Beatrix on the stamps, and now some stupid numbers... I think that collecting these stamps are not worth it.
But the 20th century are beautiful to collect!

Greetings, Rik

EDIT: Why doesn't my postcount goes up if I post a message here??

Hi Rik,

Hope you enjoy your stay,

May I say you are very brave and refreshing to
come out and declare your social phobia etc,
Well done you
I think these sorts of forums are fantastic
for people to interact and belong to a social group
of like minded people, I am sure you will enjoy
yourself, there are many, many people with differing
depths of social phobia, lots of people hide it,
but you are well on the way to recovery :)

Last year I was involved in participation and talks
at our local hospitals within a group called "Grow"
(I think it originated in Ireland) It may be good
to see if they exist in Holland ?, we had a great time
and I made some great friendships.

Wishing you Happy stamping here :)

Rik, I don't think the posts on the introduction thread count..use the main stamp collecting forum or any of the others..you can google Laren..no regular people can afford to live there anymore..film stars and millionaires purchased all the houses !! Theres no train and I understand now no bus either..my wife used to bicycle to the city to work but I don't think the people want to use that method anymore !
