Scott 1418 Color Shift

Do I assume this color shift was a common occurrence for this issue? Since it was issued as a block of four different designs, the color shift must have occurred in all four designs:



Here's a close up of the color shift shown in the bottom stamp:

Fair assumption, I would say, I have a bag of color shift stamps somewhere (can't find it now), and most of the stamps in it are Christmas stamps from that era.

I believe the colors on this block are properly registered.



Judging from the carriage color above and on the bottom two stamps in this image, it seems that both of your stamps reflect a color shift.



And here the wheels of the horse and the rim of the carriage suggest another color shift.



So it seems that color shifts on this issue were a fairly common occurrence.

Color misregistration on stamps printed by the Andreotti Press are very very common.
