A machine cancel fluke, I'm sure, but it does make for something of an oddity from an otherwise common "First Day of Issue" cancellation:

What a great mistake! I saw a stamp at a stamp show that was a 1959 comm for the people who cured polio-- somehow the "fight infant paralysis" cancel had been used on it, haha.
