Just spent a half hour on Stampwants looking to fill my French Morocco want list.

There is a seller, with about 300 items, all listed with Stanley Gibbons Catalogue numbers.

All of the listings are store types, and all of the stamps, even the
minimum catalogue value stamps ( 20 cents ) are listed at $ 1.00.

I've seen the same thing for Germany and Guaemala from two different sellers. One is from the Phillipines and the other from the U.S. I suppose there are enough misguided buyers to keep them at it, but I won't buy a thing from them!

It seems that there are people out there that forget that the US has any denomination of money under $1.00

Looks like you are the odd man out on this one... only the Americans and Canadians use Scott. Most of the British Commonwealth stuff I see here is usually listed and catalogued per SG and Scott. All the French community stuff is listed by Yvert & Tellier.

David:

Here is my gripe. The seller is listing on a US based auction site.( where 90 percent of the buyers are from both the US and Canada )

Now, I would have no problem, if the seller was listing on an International site, such as Delcampe.

David, the next time you are in and visiting Phil, try to convince Jopie to let Phil get his tattoo.

Bobgggg:

If it is a U.S. -based auction site, then the seller (unless he's not North American), then he must not be expecting anyone to purchase is stamps. The other side of the coin, and I suspect this is the case, that as SG's prices are much higher than Scott's, he may be trying to get the better price for his stamps, preferably from a European collector.

As for tryiing to convince Jopie to let Phil get another tattoo, you can work on that one!
