And now for something completely different!

This is an area I've been playing with for a while now, but examples are very few and far between: manuscript "doodle" cancels.

I guess clerks got bored 150 years ago too... I have no idea if any of these cancels have any significance beyond the doodling... the changing of the "25" numeral on the R44c to 23 is interesting, as is the marking out of the "50" numerals on the R59c.

The one with the "seventh of September" written out is fantastic--Why? because Sept 7 is my birthday.
