Was going through a box of stuff and found this item down on the bottom. It appears to have been cut from a ruled page. Image size 75 mm x 34 mm. Any ideas as to number, year issued, CV, etc?
Thanks beforehand

If I'm reading the Scott Specialized correctly, you have a Revenue Stamped Paper cut square (Scott RN-W2 $1.00 orange). The 2011 CV is $15.

Edit: Again per Scott, the Type W was printed by the American Phototype Co., New York from 1865-1875.

It just occured to me that you likely cropped the image for posting. The CV for RN-W2 on a document is $85.00. The catalog notes this valuation is for "documents with attractive engravings, usually stock certificates, bonds and insurance policies. Examples on plain documents and cut squares sell for less."

No, unfortunately this was a previously cropped piece. I never cut anything, but the vast majority of collectors seemed to have done that in the past.
