I was searching the USPS collectibles website today (11/26/2011) and came across the America on the Move '50s Fins & Chrome set of (20) premium stamped cards that typically retail for $13.95, but are now ON SALE FOR 29% OFF for a cost of only $9.95 for the set.

Based on my 2011 Scott Specialized Catalog, these would appear to be Scott #UX553a, with a "catalog" value of $28.00, meaning that to buy these from the USPS at their sale price, would suggest that you are purchasing them at 35.5% of catalog value.

Interestingly, I didn't know these were still on sale by the USPS until browsing their website, as they are dating back to 2008 and are NOT listed in USA Philatelic, but apparently they are still available at the Item # indicated:

Here's the actual link should anyone be interested:

I'm posting this merely as an observation. SCF members can judge the worth on their own, however, it seems to me that it might make for an interesting collectible at a discounted retail purchase price, especially for those post card and/or automobile topical collectors.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to check and see if I have a set already, not sure.
