I see some roller cancels and a few box cancels above too. I'm partial to a nicely "struck" or "rolled" roller cancel as I think they have a nice flow to them. Box cancels are ugly in my opinion but they served their purpose I guess. I didn't read through the whole of the thread so if this was already covered than my apologies.

Remember, too, that many "box cancels" also did duty as "roller cancels" as shown in these examples:

I did not know that wt1. Thank you. Lately I been sort of studying cancels and reading up on the different types on the US machine cancel forum and also the DC Stamp Club's Slogan cancel write-up. I am finding them as enjoyable as the stamps they adorn but that another topic for another time I suppose? Thank you again.
