Hello - I'm Ally and I am new to stamp collecting, so please forgive me for anything dumb I might say or ask. This looks like the best place to learn!
I have a few stamps in my collection already - mainly different shaped ones or with something unusual about them, they have just caught my eye and my attention so I thought I might continue to collect some more.
Looking forward to reading and absorbing all your knowledge on here!
Best wishes

to the forum Ally. Post any questions you have, the only dumb questions, are those you don't ask. As for what you collect, it's very much a matter of personal taste, so collecting those things that catch your eye is a totally valid approach. Enjoy your time here... and... Dave. |

welcome to a fellow Brit ! This is a great place to learn and meet others. There is no other forum like it. Odd-Shaped stamps are quite popular and if you search the forum for exactly that, you find lots to interest you. Just click on search near the top of the page you are reading and type in 'Odd shaped stamps'. Good luck and have fun. The latter being very important. Londonbus1 |

Ally93, Nice to see you get involved with stamps. Make it a habit to read/learn at least one new thing daily associated with stamps. Free knowledge available here cannot be beat. |

Kia Ora & welcome Ally, Nice to see a new face ! I'm a novice collector as well and collecting "odds" is a good idea as you are able to collect from any country at all. It's a great hobby where you can travel the world from the comfort of your favorite armchair. |
