Hi everyone, I come from a big maori family and I was always taught that it's better to give than to receive. Also karma- what goes around comes around. The SCF is just that one big family of which I am proud to be part of.

Hi Fifia, many thanks for your interest. I'll start as soon as I reach 50 posts. Sitting a foot away from me,while I type this is a German teenager who is currently staying with us. He is hitch-hiking around NZ on his first overseas trip. He from Lower Saxon/Dassel and will be with us for a few more days. Then he's going surfing at Raglan. He has already done sky-diving from 14,000 feet. We also have 2 French girls & a lady from Australia staying.

You are more than welcome to "drop in". We get people from all over the world. There is another German teenager & an American teenager who are traveling together are due to call in today or tomorrow on their way south. They meet in Auckland when they arrived in NZ.
NZ is as far away from Germany as you can get without dropping off the side of the world. We are 3 main islands with lots of little islands, about 4.5 million people & 70 million baa-baa sheep.
Don't forget to bring your stamps.

Hi,I was wondering if these 2 stamps would be good enough to include in the first Round-Robin I send out once I reach the magic number of 50 posts. I have 2 old SG Commonwealth country albums from 2001 - the SG Cat.value in 2001 was about £7. Cheers.

Kia Ora Everyone,These will be the stamps for the first Round-Robin,stamp count 103.

Once I reach the big 50 posts, I'll open it up on the forum - contests, quizzes and giveaways. I'll take the first 4 or 5 names in the order as they appear and email the person for name & address,so I can make up the list to be sent out with the stamps.
If there is enough interest,I'll start a second one.
I'm trying to do it the "Kiss" way. I'll read back thru and take note of peoples comments re rules, etc. It's a matter of been fair when you take stamps out and replace them. Think of it as been posted on to a family member, which SCF really is. I'd welcome your feedback. When you email the person that you are posting the stamps to,send me an email as well.
So watch for the big 50 and be first to visit me at - contests, quizzes and giveaways forum, here we come....

I made sure to check the back of the stamp as well.

Hi,Should I make a postcard size booklet to send the stamps out in or should I just send them loose in a bag between two bits of cardboard? I can make a booklet using 2 NZ postcards for the front & back covers and then cut double sided hagner sheets to the same size, staple it all together and put the stamps in. Booklet would be easy to see stamps and less handling.

Joeycoat,

Groan ! It's me again.

Points to observe for Round Robins.

Start each RR in a new thread and number and title them.
[Round Robin #1, Used Worldwide stamps.]

For any subsequent Robins, do not show a scan of the stamps, it makes it a bit more intriguing opening the unknown !

Stamps should be free of stains, tears, short or damaged perforations
and blotchy cancels. Only good sound stamps should be used.

For any future Robins, do not mix Definitives with Commemoratives. This might sound picky but slowly cheap definitives may be added at the expense of Commems giving others less choice.
Definitive Round Robins are fun too.

When you have received the envelope and checked the stamps you should post a message on the appropriate RR thread topic. This should be compulsory for the efficiency of the game. If you come across any poor stamps you should specify this in your message. With this rule in place, and it should be 'LAW', then I am pretty sure everyone will use good stamps. [Being shamed on the forum you love would not be much fun !]. It will also mean that only serious traders will be interested. This rule works by the way, trust me.

Do not mix Mint and Used. Used can be sent in a glassine between stiff card to avoid damage as Joeytoat stated. Mint Round Robins should have the stamps placed in small stockcards or similar.
Again, don't mix Defins and Commems.

When you have taken and replaced stamps and sent it on, leave a message again on the appropriate RR thread that it's on it's way to MR.'X'.

Some RR have a min and max take and replace but I do not think this is necessary. Opinions welcomed.

In fact, opinions welcomed on all my suggestions/waffle.

Londonbus1....more to come after 'El Classico'

Hi Londonbus1, Many thanks for your input - very much appreciated. This may sound like a dumb question but can you give me a brief lesson on the difference between D & C. I have made sure stamps are free of any of the above that you mentioned. I check the backs as well to make sure no hinge bits. The one I think is a bit iffy is one of the old Australian ones, but the two of them had a cat.value of £7 in 2001 so I thought they may be okay. I have taken everything you have said "onboard" and will copy & paste some of the points that you mentioned. As a thank you,I would like to send you a "stamp" so you can you email me your name & address and I'll get it in the post to you. What stamp? Let's just say when it was issued in Oct this year it cost $15.
Your comments certainly aren't waffle.
