Here are cropped images of two covers I have that were postmarked the same date in Springfield, Massachusetts back in 1995. I've overlooked many times that these similar postmarks are actually different. Can you spot the differences?

From what I can see:
1. The shape of the killer bars are different between the two examples.
2. The top image has Springfield MA without a comma (,) between the city/state; the bottom one uses a comma.
3. A different font size is used in the month and day (27 Oct) printed on each envelope.
Who would have thought to check that such similar and seemingly common modern postmarks would contain such differences?
