SCF Forum Evolving

I have been observing the threads/posts on the SCF for the last week or so, and I'm really pleased with the way the site has evolved since the first of the year.

There are still less than 30 of us with 100 or more posts, but I've watched as we've gone from 6 or 8 members giving advice and sharing duplicates to where we now have 15 or 18 members doing so.

We seem to have loosened up as a group and most members now show a sense of humor and friendship. We've even come to know the collecting preferences of many of the other members. Since this is the closest thing I have to a stamp club, I really appreaciate that.

I think it's to Tom and Bob's credit that this has been happening. I, for one, thank you guys for your hard work and attention, and to the other members for helping us grow.

You guys are my only contacts in the stamp collecting world and I love it here. Can't wait till fall so I can spend more time on the forum.

I also agree with you Greg This is the closest thing I have to a stamp club also..Thanks to all the members that have taken an intrest and help with the scouts !

I have to agree with you, Greg. I am learning heaps here. This is also my only contact with other stamp collectors (except for Bandicoot and Emma). A big thanks to those of you who have sent free stamps and to those I have traded with.

Phil, are you trying to say that we are all anti-social and only able to communicate effectively with others through the false sense of security provided by the Internet?

I take exception to that. I can easily interact with other human beings for up to 20 minutes a day without spazzing out!

I agree also. I haven't been a member that long but I try to stop by once a day. I don't always leave a comment but I check to find out what is going on. If I can help in anyway I try. If not... I learn. Either way its all good.

Geeeee, Ummmmmmm, How do I keep from sounding like a broken record??????? Oh how about Ditto!! I love the site and I really enjoy interacting with the wonderful people on here.

I haven't been here long, but I like this little forum. I also frequent a fountain pen forum that grew from 1500 members to 14,000 in two years! I still enjoy it, but it has experienced some growing pains and is not quite as cozy/friendly as it used to be.
