Where I work we get hundreds of envelopes a month. The girls in the office save them for me and I take them all home. I believe that practice makes perfect. I soak them in different temps of water for different lengths of time. Sometimes it works really well and other times not so well. I have found that there are some stamps that no matter what you do they come out with gum residue on them. The recent heart stamps are a great example. They will not soak off. If you soak them too long the color changes.

If I am not mistaken DesertGem even mentioned in an earlier thread using lighter fluid (like what you use in a Zippo). And soaking the paper and letting it sit then gently trying to remove the paper from the stamp. I have some Frank sinatra stamps I am going to try that on after the first when I can get some Lighter Fluid and I will let you all know how it went.

Do let us know how things work out with Frank. I've found Frank to be a bit stubborn. After a lot of soaking and what I thought was careful rubbing, I found that I had rubbed a hole in Frank's face. So something besides just warm water is definitely needed.
