So I inherited a stamp collection from a family member. Got lots of stamps dating to the early 20th century from around the world. U.S. Stamps, Canadian, Australian, Japanese, Indo, Malay, etc.

Perhaps someone here who loves to look at stamps might be able to see and pick out some stamps that might be worth something? Could use the $ if any of these stamps are worth a few good bucks.

This is just 1 book, I got a bag full of stamps too...just too lazy to take pictures.

Can't notice anything really special from quick look; the british shilling value definitives are slightly better (but still common and cheap).
Maybe $5 worth the entire lot - at least I would not bid more if an ebay.

never been a big stamp collector or fan, I dont know anything about these. They look pretty cool and vintage. Thought I might have a diamond in the rough since there are so many stamps.

Dsun, to SCF. Hope you get involved with stamps as YOUR HOBBY.

Members like stamp images, so you MUST make a effort in order for SCF's knowledgeable collectors to give a stamp appraisal if by chance there is a stamp worth a dollars.

After you get achieve 50 Forum Postings, you qualify (as per rules) to swap/auction/sell or give away your stamps to interested members, otherwise as you would appreciate, SCF could become a free stamp appraisal's site.

They certainly do, which is what gets us hooked on collecting!
What I see there is a nice mix of stamps from all over the world, and from different decades. Its a great start for a newbie collector, but I'm afraid you are unlikely to find any "diamonds". The value is generally in the pleasure we get from the hobby, not the monetary value.

As stated, not much of monetary value, in my opinion. There may be a "diamond in the rough" but keep in mind that the odds of something significant are extremely low and given the stamps, would have been obtained by random chance rather than through specialized purchases.
