I searched and could not find any info. If topic already is existing I will adjust with delete.

Something real interesting, different... I posted three examples of Molly's work.

See the stamps?
Molly Rausch writes, paints, and builds treehouses in New Paltz, New York.
She grew up in Maryland and really enjoys mailing people things.

Each stamp painting begins with an actual postage stamp that is glued down to the paper. Then Rausch paints around the stamp, extending the scene, with watercolor and gouache. As a result, the paintings are quite small – usually around 3 inches tall. Everything is done freehand with a brush; she does not use pens or pencils. She does not paint on the stamp itself. And she does not research the subject, so the extension is completely invented and should not be tested for accuracy.

Please contact the artist to purchase any of the paintings shown here, or if you would like to commission something new. You may select a subject or country of origin of your choice, and she will send you a selection of possible stamps to choose from. Or if you already have a stamp of your own, that's fine too.

Each painting is archivally matted and framed to a standard 8x10" suitable for tabletop or wall display. Custom prints (up to 24" wide) may be available upon request. You can see more of Molly's work here: www.mollyrausch.com.
