Could anybody tell me if Tasmania's perfin T was used on all Australian King George V issues. So that is all denominations, standard colour issues and watermarks.

Always Happy Stamping.KGV

Cannot answer your query directly John,
but the "T" I have on all sorts
up to the decimal 20c Wombat.

Thanks to TonyMacg we have established the "T" is a
ticklish fellow, the punctures were made in two passes
( a line of dot punctures, then the sheet was evidently swivelled 90 degrees)
So, depending on alignment, you may get a "T" or a "+"

If you haven't already looked at this thread, plateflaw included great information regarding varieties:

I've saved the info, but I'll just send you there to give credit where credit is due.

[edit: And no, it doesn't specifically answer the question of which KGV stamps have/have not been found with the "T" perfins.]

Thanks Rod.
I was sure I could remember perfin T on decimal. Yes they do come in all shapes and sizes. So if perfin T is on decimal it would be fair to say examples would be on all standard issues of KGVs including watermarks. But in the same breath saying that perfin T may take a different shape at some stages of its use over the years.

Interesting. John

You are going to find them on
all KG5's that were commonly used for postage
in the halls of government, at any given particular time.
You may not find them, say, on the higher values.
That's just a guess.

I had all denominations in perfin T. Have sold most of them. Have a bunch of 4d Blues and violets somewhere. It is basically the CofA watermark issues I was not sure about.

Perfin T worries me as it looks like a perfin that would easily be forged so I stopped selling them.

Thanks Rod
