Hello everyone this is the first time in the forum

My name is Giorgio de Silva, I live in Turin, Italy, is an architect.

I have a large collection of cinderella stamps, collection that I inherited from my grandfather.

This collection was first built by Armanino Adhemar of Genoa, one of the most important Italian '800 lithographers. Continued by Vittorio Umberto de Silva that he inherited.

The collection covers the Italian and foreign stamps from 1860 to 1954, and ends with the death of my grandfather in 1954.

The collection is very beautiful and important, 120.000/140000 erinnofili stamps, as my grandfather was a collector thorough and systematic.

He had, at a time when links were difficult in the world, relations of exchange with people on all continents. So the collection focuses on three continents. Australia, the Americas and Europe

Hello
George

Australia, Americhe e Europa

Ciao
Giorgio

Hello Giorgio de Silva, welcome!

That must be an amazing collection, not only for it's many and varied stamps but the history of the acquiring of the stamps by the collectors themselves over the years.

Books could probably be written! (Have any been written?)

If you are interested in a little story 'of history

The collection of Erinnofilia the death of my grandfather was divided into three parts. I will own a part of 1 / 3. One of the three parties no longer belongs to my family because my cousin has sold to a collector in Milan. About 60000 poster stamps, the most ancient and foreign ialiani 1860 to 1907.

The collection was divided into several sections: Poster Stamps, Figurines of Liebig, Postcards, Stamps, Posters

The lithographers Armanino Genoa printed the first Italian Poster Stamps 1860 to finance the expedition of the Thousand of Garibaldi in Sicily. The idea Posters Stamps Laura Mantegazza were a friend of Garibaldi

Adhemar Armanino late in life he married my great-grandmother Carmen de Silva, the grandmother of my grandfather Victor. So surely my grandfather received from him the passion for the printed paper.

Thank you. interest of my family is to know the full collection in the world.

We think that the stamps have been a poster of the most important expressions of human creativity. An absolute innovation that helped a lot, from '800 and '900, to transform the society into what it is today. The art of visual communication in a broad sense.
Strategic art, in a certain historical moment, such as cinema and photography. My grandfather opened the first among other Pathé Cinema in Milan Italy.
Today it is time to make it known to as many people as possible.
The collection is almost all on the Internet you can find by searching Google with the voice of Victor de Silva Erinnofilia

Ti ringrazio.

Giorgio, you may wish to put some of this information out in a thread / topic in teh regular Cinderella forum so many can see it.

Not everyone looks in here in the personal section and it is not available to the non members.

Note to searchers: search for Vittorio, not Victor. This works much better.

In case you're refering to my thread of Barcelona and Catalonia cinderellas. They are not, as you say, "from Catalan Spain", but just "from Catalonia". Most of us do not consider ourselves, Spanish at all, just Catalans. I hope you'll understand.
