My Introduction

Having spent several days examining the Coin Forum I decided to drop in here and have a look. While I have not looked at my stamps in years
I need to find a good home for the bulk of them.
Is there a young persons' organization, Scouts or whatever, that would accept a donation of stamps to use for the benefit of the kids?
I was thinking Merit Badge but I am open to suggestions.
I am 60, a coin collector above all and located in New Haven, CT. USA.
Help me "lick" my little problem.

Each year I send my surplus stamps to the horse santuary over here in England. Being new I do not know if I can mention it by name. I am sure you will find some worthy cause. I joined about twenty minutes ago and wanted to say hello as that sort of makes us newbies together. I collect stamps and comics, also the odd medal. Hope you enjoy the Community Matthew.

A great big welcome to the both of you. I hope you enjoy your self as much as I have. You will learn a lot about stamps from everybody. It was a good choice when I joined, as I know it is for the both of you.

The Scouts or schools are usually happy to accept these, but the chance that they stay with the scout or student is pretty random. I would check out any stamp clubs near you and the likelihood of your collection finding a great home may be just a little better. - Great to have you with us. - Jeff
