Since Dad passed in April, I have not really bought
anything to add to his collection. Last night I was
thumbing through his albums and noticed that this
set is one of a very few modern 'holes' in his albums.

So I proceeded to ebay to find out what it would take
to fill them. Anyway it seemed to me that the stamps
bought individually cost the same as bought in plate
blocks. Without much thought, and less the 1053, I
found a dealer with BINs on all these, most 1.00 each,
and bought them up in PBs of 4. I have never seen
them mounted on the pages of an album this way, but
I thought for the same money, it would be a fun way
to go. What do you think?

Mount them on the album page in all their PB glory, or
just hold on to these and wait for the single stamps?

Just curious whatcha think...
The only downside I see is that the 1053 will be expensive
in PB form, unlike the others...

Btw:
This all came as an idea due to the fact that I went on ebay
shortly beforehand to replace Dad's torn C26. I just hopped
on quick and bought the first .99 cent BIN C26 I found. Then
in short order found out that I could have got a C26 PB for
the same money. That's what caused all this.

Just my preference, I would mount the plate blocks on a separate page,
and add single stamps to the page with the other single stamps when you get them.
It will look nice to have a complete set of singles all together.

Another way to go is to devote one page per issue, with a mint single, a used single, a plate block and a first day cover or commercial use cover and add a small write-up.

with Phil. I would keep singles with singles and put the plate blocks into some other sort of display.
