Welcome - I have just started investigated those classic posthorn stamps and Scandanavia. I have started with Denmark and the wavy lines, though I definitely am interested in the posthorns, too. (One of my neighbors actually has a cool looking mailbox with a posthorn design on it!) Glad to know there is at least one expert here if I have questions.

Wow cool, I am also from western washington state usa and I was going to ask a question about some denmark stamps- found this thread through search- I have no clue what I have here any help appreciated. All I know is Denmark from my little stamp finder booklet and an online worldwide stamp site, that doesn't give scott numbers, how or what to look for in different varieties not my area, I don't collect worldwide yet, I collect usa stamps and what I get of WW resell. So what do I have here? Anything worth selling on ebay?

I agree on Denmark also, and on this web site, http://www.stampedia.net/stamp/cata...P/DENMARK/en , after searching for the word Frimaerke (stamp in Danish), I found it is

1851 issue (emission).
4 Rigsdaler denomination.
The design is of Royal Emblems.

Konggeligt = Royal
Post = Post or Mail
Frimaerke = Stamp
Fire R.B.S. = Four and RBS I am not sure.
Post horns in the four corners

From my own stamps searching in other countries around this same time frame, the cancels are target cancels and a three-ring (3-ring) numeral cancel, with an 18 on it I think.
