I have the above stamp -- but it's not in my Brunell. Am I somehow just not seeing it there? (can someone please check that I didn't somehow delete it from my disc?).

Could it be that:

a) there is another Type that is similar that I am missing?
b) this is a handstamp not included by Brunell?
c) this is worth a mint?
or d) this is one of the "counterfeits exist" that the catalog mentions? And if so how do I determine its fakeness (or not)?

The precancel is not very well centered -- does that suggest it's genuine or were the fakes just made sloppily in order to look genuine?

On a similar subject, I also have a #1278 with a Greenwich CT precancel that looks like a Type 841. This is also not in Brunell - so I have the same questions ...

Thanks.

Good eye! It appears Mr. Brunell slipped on the proofreading there. The Hartford CT 204 olympic exists and is common. There is a blank line in the catalog after the bicentennials, the olympics probably got mis-deleted somehow. Send Bruce an email, he will appreciate people using his catalog.

PSS type 841's will not be in the Brunell catalog because it is a handstamp vinyl (800-series) type, not printed.
