Thanks to the info. chasa supplied me with about Brunell, I have spent this evening constructing two Excel charts:

WF Chart of Precancels, collating the Scott stamp numbers to the face value, design, color, approx. rarity of the stamps (and aligning the different Scott numbers that look alike and that are not usually distinguished in Precancel collections e.g. 333/376, etc.).

Also:

Bureau Issues 1922, 1923, 1926 with their values and Scott numbers (inc. 1 1/2 Harding, Taft, Stuart and BH).

I was hoping to post them (one is one page, the other is about 2.5) to see if anyone can spot my mistakes or omissions. I was also going to offer to email the docs to anyone who might be interested (preferably, once they have been checked over by a higher power).

The filename extension won't work for pasting as a photo and I tried to cut and paste, but the data appeared just as random numbers dotted about, with no table.

Any ideas?
Jan

You will have to upload the file to a file hosting site (is there such a thing?) (Google?) or your own personal (or business) web space and the provide the link to it, when on there, here.

Use Filezilla FTP (File Transfer Protocol) free program but you need your web space set up by your ISP (call them) and then it is just a click and it is done.

You might not need all that FTP stuff or the detail I went into above (I am rather old school on what to do and how to do it with computers). There is probably a much easier way to do all that now.

Hi Jan,

If your Excel file doesn't have too many rows and columns I guess you you could try posting it in chunks as separate images using a snipping tool to grab the image from the screen. I would lock the row and column labels so you keep them in view as you scroll around the sheet.

Otherwise you could host the file off the board and post a link to it.

I can send you an invite for Dropbox if you want to try it.
This will give you 2.25gb of free space where you can also share files from.
Just drop me an email. This is open for anyone on SCF.
