I was looking for little differences amongst my 220's and think I may have found a "cap"? Can anyone confirm this?

Sure looks like one. Congratulations! Although it commands a small premium value ($11 used) according to the Scott catalog, it seems like there may be other things going on with that stamp:

1. The bottom left has short/torn perf.
2. The top left has an odd looking perf.
3. Upon closer inspection, it looks as if the top left half of the perfs may have been repaired (?)

Again, I'm no expert and the value of the stamp probably isn't significant enough to be worth expertization, but that's just my initial reaction.

Let's see if others would care to comment about it.

Nice find. Obvious cap over the left 2. A great addition to your collection. Enjoy

Nice find Jeff. I'd say it makes a fine feather in your CAP, but somehow, it always sounds better in my head.

Kool (pretending to be younger than I am). Or maybe just showing my age ...

Gotta love those unexpected finds, though.
