I thought this was rather pleasing for a 220a (left cap):

The perfs are good, but there is a chad in the bottom row, and a skipped perf hole at UR. But the bold SOTN radial against the carmine really stands out.

eaasyk - nice cancel

here is a 219D I just picked up (circle of hearts? cancel) followed by a 220 with caps on both 2's (centering not so great, but cancel well clear of both the face and the caps).

Maybe not suitable due to their age.

If so please say so, and I look for older us better centered stamps here.

Great, thanks. Very difficult subject with all the grading etc. Looks like if you would like perfectly centered stamps I can throw away about 99% of them. :)

A 163 Ribbed paper. The 4th perf from left on the bottom is twisted but intact.

stampfan9, your 7c stamp is perf 10, not 11, so not a 507. That's good news -- the two possibilities (Scott 430 & 469) are both worth more.

Some great stamps guys. I'm fascinated as to where they're being found. I can't stretch to most of the 'pre-graded' stock available from mainstream dealers. Are these mostly being found from trawling ebay...or do they still lurk in dealer stocks, waiting to be discovered...?
