I was doing some cleaning -came across a brown satchel that was my grandmother's. My Uncle had given it to me about 4 years ago after grandmother passed away. It had a bunch of her poetry that she used to write inside it. I don't know what made me dig down to the bottom to see what was down deep, but LO and BEHOLD it was STAMPS!!
I never knew my grandmother collected stamps! Here is a small sampling of the treasure I found today--stamps from 1962 to 1998. She eventually lost most of her vision and I guessed she put them away in the multiple envelopes and forgot about them. There are a lot of Christmas stamps--you could tell that's probably when she got a lot of mail was at Holiday time. Thanks Grandma!

I have been sharing some of Grandmother's poetry with a special cousin in Utah--she knows it's special stuff--handwritten poetry--pages and pages of it over years and years, BUT, that special cousin won't be getting any stamps! ha
