I have been chasing the plate positions of the one cent Franklin. I recently purchased this one and thought I would share it. Its a #24, position 71R7. It's a less expensive way to continue building my collection. The ones I'm missing from my collection are getting out of my reach and I can find these for a lot less. However, it also means that one has to learn more about the subject, the plates, the differences between the plates and the varieties of each. This image of Ben has perhaps more cracks, flaws, scratches and varieties than any other. this image is used on stamps 18-24 with several subsets. In other words, I'm having a ball!
