Hi all, during the last 2 - 3 weeks I have just been reading in a lot of threads and are now afraid that I will never catch up reading all the threads interesting me. How do you people still working for a salary manage to read all the posts? I am 75 and nearly every day I must stop reading because my eyes are strained. My main interests are stamps from some South American states and world wide stamps on stamps. Up to now my collection of SoS is 7 stock books.
Should you have difficulties understanding my English, I apologize for any errors. Thank you! Heinz55

Hello heinz55, welcome!
Just keep up with whatever you are interested in and sometimes look around at other interesting stuff.
I am on here a lot because I do not work at present so have lots of time. I enjoy the posting and helping out where I can.
Remember to subscribe to threads you are interested in so you will receive an email whenever someone posts something new on there.
Your English is wunderbar! |

Welcome to the group,
I have a full time job and work overtime, so usually just have some time in the mornings before work to check the forum. I don't look at all the entries - not enough time for that. I hope you enjoy it here!

welcome Heinz Glad you could join us. I work a lot this time of year. I average 82 hrs so as you can imagine I don't have a lot of time to hang out here this time of year, I do log on as often as I can and catch up in the winter months. Dianne |

Welcome! So glad you are enjoying your time on SCF. I suspect many members with desk jobs sneak a look at SCF whilst at work Look forward to hearing more about your collections! |

Thank you all, folks, for your welcome. centerstage98, your bit of German is absolutely ok. Well, as for South America, I do not collect all countries ... would be a bit too much. Also I am no specialist but just a collector who enjoys the stamps of Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia & Venezuela .... even if many of the pre-1900s are just fakes.

for Londonbus1 thank you for your invitation. Please mail me the date when it is fixed. Of course i'll try to join the group. Now here I should like to ask where I can ask the (maybe stupid) question: Is this curious ebay offer serious? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stamp-Colle...%26rk%3D4%26A very hazy scan, small price & enormous postage. Or is it a joke? admin: please move to correct site - I did not find anything suitable. |

heinz, I'll be sure to let you know about any Munich meeting. You can post your question here about anything to do with Internet auctions. https://goscf.com/f/27Looks like the seller made a mistake with numbers. The lot is pretty common. Post it up and give the others a laugh. Londonbus1 |

Gruss Gott,
How can you possible resist the opportunity to collect some of the stamps from Bayern?
Once upon a time I lived in Munchen and as a newbie stamp collector I'm picking up a few of the less expensive stamps probably out of nostalgia.
Best wishes. |
