Hello From Chile

Hello

My name is Jorge (George) and I'm stamp collector since I was a child (now I'm in my first 50's).
I live in Santiago, Chile and also I'm member of the Philatelic Society of Chile.

I hope to be able to participate and learn about stamps in addition to meet friends from differents places around the world.

I collect stamps from my country from 1853 to 1975 in a specialized way (diff.papers, plates, printing systems, etc)
Same thing I do with some foreign definitives series from Germany, USA, France, Argentina, etc.

In Chile we are now in winter and is cold and raining...but stamps helps a lot to enjoy this gray days!

I live in California so our weather is similar but with opposite seasons. I love it here.

In the past I've mainly collected U.S. But a month or so ago I picked up a few albums with South American stamps. For the past few weeks I've been working on Chile.

Up here besides the regular auction houses I believe the best places to buy stamps are ebay and bidstart. And of course my own stamp club. How about in Chile?
