So the question arises..
With a double transfer it catalogs at 1000.00
with a pen cancel it catalogs at 300.00
normally it would be 650.00

Which is it?

$650? Double transfer price minus amount marked off for pen cancel. ($1000-350=650) Just what I would think, although I really don't know.

If the stamp is regularly $650 and a double transfer is $1000 then the premium for the DT is $350. Similarly, the reduction for the pen cancel is $350. So if you start with the pen cancel valuation ($300) and add the DT premium ($350) you arrive back at $650.

EDIT: But you are correct, 1000-300 does equal 700!

that's what I am saying, take the higher value 1000.00 subtract the pen cancel 300 and you are left with 700
Oh, I see what you guys are doing. either way 700 or 650...
