Hello, New to Community.
I bought sheets of Lewis and Clark stamps, number 3854, from the Post Office some time ago. One sheet has all 20 stamps with the entire center image offset to the left.
Has anyone seen or heard of a sheet having the center image offset to the left?
I can upload an image if it helps.

The 2012 Scott US Specialized doesn't list it as a known variety. You might want to talk to Amos Publishing and have it evaluated. How far to the left is the image?

Looking at it now it seems the outer frame is offset to right and the portrait image is center

My opinion, it's a remarkably eye-catching EFO which will prove to be worth $50 per stamp, although a catalog listing is unlikely.

I think you're right. The center is fine. It's the frame that's shifted.

It couldn't hurt to send a scan of a sheet to Amos and see what they say. You might make the cover of Linn's!

apastuszak - Thanks again for the suggestion and input. I have done as you mentioned and sent an email with a scanned image to their online editor.

djedwar50 - this is a great frame shift. I would guess less than the $50 per stamp suggested, but more than $10. Since it is a shift, it is a freak and not an error and Scott does not list freaks.

Yes, I agree one of my favorite modern stamps too, beautiful stamp. I collect and was getting kids into collecting. We live along the Lewis & Clark trail, in fact they camped about 2 miles from where I live. I thought what a great thing to start them with.
The design of the stamp along with the commemorative history book and stamps are like artwork. I bought 4 sheets and three books from our little Post Office in Oregon. The shifted sheet was mixed with it. The postal clerk noticed the same time as me but money was exchanged and they were in my hand. Error or Freak, it is an excellent edition to my collection.
