Hello All - Good to have an entry point like this on a site to introduce new members - glad to be aboard !
I collect mainly Canadian Mint Stamps (Corner Sets,PlBlk,sheets, some singles when they're expensive)for all years - although I did begin with Barbados, Greneda and general World. My interest in Stamps was started off by my Grandfather in mid 70s (and I have been doing this off & on since that time, but much more intense in the last year.
This is my 1st participation in this type of forum - glad to be part of it and hope to find the time to make some good aquaintances - and learn something! Cheers ! gordon
Hello - Yes I did, and thanks for the recommendation ! its good to be here, and I look forward to expanding my knowledge, and hopefully my collection as well. All in good time....I see from looking around that there is a wide range of country & specific stamp-style interests...which may perk my curiosity outside of canada !
There is a bit of everything here and a lot of very knowledgeable members. Best part is you won't get attacked if you ask a stupid question very friendly bunch. You should post some images from your collection. Once you have 50 posts you can take part in the auctions extra . Won't take long to reach.
It's easy to get distracted by all the nice stamps and different ideas shown on Stamp Community (SCF) at times. I myself started a side collection or two after being inspired by others on here.
Welcome smilingord to SCF ,you are never to late so have not missed much of anything that you can't find, info is great so embrace it use it and apply it , everyday you learn something new.
Many thanks for all the welcomes - havent looked here since last week, regular work and life keeping me busy ! hopefully as summer ends and Fall/Winter begins to setin, I will have some more time to peruse this site and entertain my stamping interests ! Cheers !
