I'm no expert, but to take the example originally posted of a Superb example of Scott 942 selling for $95 and then look at these two side-by-side:

http://www.bidstart.com/search_resu...itsearch=#id

The same seller, the same pricetag ($95) for a Superb 98 and a $60 reduction if you're willing to settle for a Superb 95 ($35)--and even at that it's overpriced.

I would venture to guess that most people couldn't see the difference between these stamps.

Also remember that these are all "asking" prices, no one has yet bid on the item(s) and the "buy it now" price is typically for someone who just can't live without it. Considering no bids have been recorded on either example, most people (myself included) can very comfortably live without the stamp at those prices.

Well, in these tough economic times, it's a little harder to find fools willing to part with their money.

If you think that's something, look at this from the same seller. How many hundred million of these do you think were printed?

UFO: I was about a week getting my scans right and ultimately inserting them into my posts in the correct manner. The chances are pretty good that you will beat me. Looking forward to your subsequent posts re the collection.

Are you sayin that thar purple red looking honest Abe stamp is a tad over priced? How's that? Them boyz selling it got's a bunch of fancy letters after their name like ASDA, APS (thats my lectric company by the way) (pretty good folk but they charge alot for the lectricity during the summer) NSDA and so on. Hard to believe some good ole boyz from Texas would try sellin someptin a bit more than it's worth.
