I believe the odds are about the same as being struck by a meteor while doing the polka. Every few years a rarity is discovered and it is by someone beating the odds.

I said it today when we were out shopping this afternoon. A lady behind the till was saying that she wished she could win the lottery. That was my opportunity to state - 'the chances of getting struck by lightning, twice, is greater than winning a lottery once'.

She was not amused She knew I meant it in jest though.

Here is a find by one of our club members..he was good enough to open one roll and share his "cats" with his club members before he selectively started selling them off to dealers..he is no dummy, hey when opportunity strikes ! We still do not know what the Scott cat value is for a pair of the imperf cats...does anyone have a catalog figure ?

I thought I had found a #318 on a postcard a couple of weeks ago and at first glance my blood ran hot, until I looked closer. I love that feeling. Thats why I love stamps and bowhunting and trout fishing. What a high.

Hey never EVER say never! Keep your dream alive because if it happened once it could happen again. more-so in your case because your looking and not just blindly assuming that every stamp of that kind absolutely couldn't be..you see? I, too am a dreamer but also a realist but having said that I Still check everything. That's how those things are discovered because someone took the time to look. The best of luck to you on your quest! -Cheers

Every Time I venture in to an antique shop, a road show or a consignment shop I check out the post cards, some of the places have 100s of cards to check out keeps me busy while the Mrs. shops. I just have to wonder if there is post card collector out there who purchased a post card for a couple of bucks not knowing what they really have.
