Today's Linns is reporting that the Earthscapes stamps will be offered in an uncut press sheet without die cuts in a quantity of 2500.

The stupidity continues...

Linn's also reported today that the MLB imperfs will not be assigned a Scott number or sub-number, but will be mentioned (and evaluated) in a footnote.

The announcement about the Earthscapes Press Sheet was included in the last (09/06/2012) Postal Bulletin. The item number is 470184 and the cost is a whopping $60.75, which means it must be in a format of 3 x 3 for a total of 9 sheets of 15 stamps @ $0.45 each = $60.75.

What is unusual (or perhaps more usual than we think) is that the stamp issue will ONLY be available as a Press Sheet WITHOUT die cuts. In other words, the USPS is not marketing any Press Sheets with die cuts for this issue.
