I found this 1943 C25 interesting with it's perfs only on the top and bottom. Knowing these weren't issued as coils, I was curious. A quick look in the back of my Scott's Specialized confirmed it as coming from a booklet, making it a C25a.

Not very well centred unfortunately, and sporting a hole top centre where someone appears to have pinned it to a board, but still deserving of a place in the album.
Thought it was interesting enough to show.

See what happens when you mention these US Air Mail stamps.

I had forgotten about the booklet pane variety of this issue so I went to my stockbook and found I have a dozen or so examples, four of which are shown here. By the way, the bottom two are from the bottom of the booklet pane with perfs only on the top of the stamp.

If you want a better used copy for your collection, let me know. I'll be glad to send one to you.

That would make a great stamp-trivia question: Name a U.S. stamp regularly issued imperforate on three sides!

Of course, there are several more. Unless I miscounted, I can think of at least 28 more that have Scott major catalog numbers. There are lots of booklet panes of 3,4,5,8, and 10 that have a 3-straight edge stamp at the end. One of them is also another airmail booklet.
