Hello everyone. I found this site by doing numerous searches on albums, and decided I'd register. I also posted in the Philatelic Book section, but I figured I should properly introduce myself.

I've been collecting stamps since I was 7yrs old, back in Romania. I started mainly with older Romanian stamps which I still have to this day, and moved on to some Disney stamps from all over the world. In the early 1990s I moved to the US and fell in love with the art of older US stamps. Ever since then I focused my attention mainly on mint never hinged stamps. I met a number of philatelists on CompuServe back in the dial up days, but sadly I lost touch with all of them when I decided to put my hobby on hold for college.

I recently returned to the hobby at 32, and am looking to pick up where I left off. I have a fairly decent sized collection of MNH US stamps, dating back to the Columbian set all the way to 1980 stamps, and I don't plan on collecting anything newer from the US. I'm currently in the process of updating my album from a Scott National 2 post binder to a quality hingeless album and hopefully by end of the year I'd have made my decision on which album to go with.

Is anyone in the NYC area that knows of any local stamp clubs that I could take part of, or have such clubs disbanded for the most part only for online communities such as this one to take their place?

Thanks, and looking forward to meeting everyone.
Cosmin
