I have been reading some threads and read about pr-cancels. I have always considered these just common stamps in used condition. Did I underestimate these? I bought these and a lot more from a collector who liked them because there are a lot more than these. I am glad to see my hometown represented here. Bangor Maine, do I have anyone else's here?

Well over a million different US precancels is a good count. Most of the million are fairly common minimal value but there are many that are worth hundreds dollars each and a few that reach thousand or so dollars, if I recall correctly.

Yes, all of the stamps you have pictured are precancels. All of them that I recognize are common town types. Underlying stamp combined with a particular town type may add value. Precanceled US does well on ebay except when I am the seller.

Yes, some are scarce, many are common. There are knowledgable sellers on ebay who bring illusive and quality material because they know that, even for modest priced items, bidding brings higher prices. These are all very common, but fun to accumulate.
