Good morning to all!

Need an opinon on whether this is a Rotary Type II. Would need to send in for the Watermark check but based on the toga rope and button I feel this is a Type II.

Shannon, can you post a better image? Can't help you with this one. It's a weak impression-- could be Type II, could be Type I, but tell you the truth, I can't see the rope well enough-- could be anything.

Best to post a higher res image to Photobucket, and then link the image to your SCF post.

Sorry can't be of more help-- Ray

you don't need to send it anywhere to check for a watermark. Use lighter-fluid (Ronson or Zippo is fine) and a black plastic or ceramic background. place your stamp face down on the black colored background and put a couple drops of lighter-fluid directly on the stamp and if there is a watermark on it it will reveal itself. Also try the 1847 website for a great help on identifying these. Best of luck to you! -Jeff

Sorry, but still can't tell.
Weird but the inside flap on the ribbon on the left looks like a Type III and the lack of an extra line on the right looks like a Type II

Wish I could be of more help
Ray
