What appeals to me with this UX22 is the card's "keep it short and simple" advertising copy as well as the clever framing of the card with the illustration of the advertised product. To my mind an attractive and effective Midwestern USA advertising card. Too bad it is unused because I love a postmark.

Definitive penny postal cards were the work horse of their day: advertising, appointment scheduling, personal notes, order forms, invoices and many others. Keep looking, this card probably is out there with an address and a cancel.

Another good example of "no street address" needed, every postal clerk in Cleveland "knew" Fanner.
