fimpster Mystic sent me the same thing for the Dinosaur sheet. I think there was ten sheets in the package for Something like $19.80. Well Walmart's sells Avery, Acid Free, PVC Free, Archival Safe packages of sheets 50 in a package for $4.97. I called Mystic. They sent me a return mailing label and I sent them back and bought mine at Walmart.

So they sent the sheet protector for the dinosaur sheet on approval? Sheesh.

Edited to clarify (added the stuff in italics).

No they billed me and when I saw the price for ten sheets I about fell out of my chair. I could see they were the same Avery pages so I called and ask how to return them. They send me a return address label with the postage paid and then when they got them back they credited my Debit card. No hassle just time to get credited with my return. They also had sent me some Mystic Mounts that were wrong. So I sent almost the whole order back and re-ordered.

Interesting. I DID NOT get billed for the one they sent me. And they sent just one sheet. It was just included as part of a new set of the Heirloom Album.

fimster that's great because you won't have to order a sheet down the road. Besides at .05 a sheet it didn't cost Mystic much. And Mystic didn't even pay that much a sheet. Probably more like .02

I would question using Avery Page protectors for Archival storage in prolonged direct contact with stamps. Unless the album page is printed on heavy paper that doesn't bend or flex easily, mounts should be rigid enough to protect the sheet from flexing that could lead to future perforation separations. I keep sheets for sale in cut down clear VARIO pages placed inside an 8 1/2 x 11 VARIO page to allow inspections without flexing the perforations. Hawid mounts should be safer than split back mounts, the sheet could shift if the album is dropped. A Hawid or mount or a robust split back mount placed inside a cut down VARIO page attached to a rigid album page should be safe, but some split back mounts are not rigid enough to protect large fragile souvenir sheets and Scotch tape should not be used if contact with stamps is possible.

I found there is no mount that will fit exactly. The Showgard mount referenced is a bit larger than the height of the sheet. Not an issue if you use clear mounts, if not there is a several mm space in black at the top of your sheet. It looks annoying.

What I did was to leave my sheet in the mount, then attach the mount to the center of a single pocket Hagnar stock sheet. It fits nicely into my Mystic album and looks great. You do not want to handle these sheets too much. I got mine years ago at a good price, knowing there were a few perf separations. My sheet is staying mounted as it is.

Doesn't exactly answer the question, but Davo hingleless album has a mount built in for the souvenir sheets that fit.

My favorite option:
Walmart Avery sheet protectors paired with Heavy Duty (190+) Cardstock
OR
a Lighthouse 1S page (if that fits)
