Recent posts showing perforated classics trimmed to like the 1851 series has me wondering now about my #14. I own the Ashbrook book on the 10 cent stamp of 1855-57, and am confident that this is a type II, relief A. But the 1861 date on it - 4 yrs after issue of the perfed stamps makes me wonder - is expertization the only way to go to be sure it's not a trimmed #32? I am not against doing that, to be sure, because I like the stamp a lot, and then I could maybe get a position on it, too.

I am hoping, of course, that it's a real #14, Because I like the stamp a lot and the date stamp of Jan 12, 1861 is neat. Wanted to share it with you all and also say I am stating to really like the classics, even though 'til now I have only been able to afford the cheapest.
Thanks, Dan
