I am at a point in collecting U.S. precancels where I would like to fill in a few holes in some almost complete sub-sets (e.g. type 61 prexies from N.Y.C.). Are there some good dealers who offer approvals or fill want lists that anyone would recommend? I occasionally see an individual stamp I need in a large lot with a ton of others I don't need. It sometimes seems difficult to obtain a certain single, inexpensive stamp without spending a few dollars for a 10 cent item....

Thanks for any leads...

Would this be helpful?:

Here is a search I did on BidStart, showing just US precancels, and supposedly sorted by Scott. (I'm not sure they are entirely, but maybe mostly.) If you look on the left-hand side, you can drill down more to particular time periods, and hopefully find what you're looking for. I didn't look very carefully, but I do know from another discussion I've had on another site that there was someone whose store name indicated that he was specializing in US precancels.

I hope that turns out to be helpful, and please let me know if you have any questions.

B. if you want to send me a wantlist to president@precancels.com I will take a crack at it. Do you have the curent PSS bureau catalog?

The most efficient way to fill precancel spaces it to attend a PSS roundup. My fill spaces rate is about 200 per hour when I go.

Of the dealers mentioned on the PSS website - I would guess Rick Podwell, Dilmond Postlewaite, and Dick Laetsch would be good candidates.
