From 1875 ERA.These stamps are confusing me. So I am going to the pros.And it has writing on the outer edge does this ruin the stamp? Or increase its value. Some stamps loose value some gain value. I am getting better at identity at least. Here are a couple of pics to help. By the way thank all you guys for always helping me.The writing is at the perf well in it.

This is on a 1 cent Franklin type I-typeV around 1875.

Those are partial plate inscriptions. (Without checking any references, I believe the second on is New York Bank Note Company.) These show up on the stamp as a result of a minor misperf.

Enhances the value, I should think.

Man you must have good eyes to see that.I just checked a printer called TCC was to have printed all of these stamps so what now? And who was TCC by the way.

The 1c Franklin of 1851-57 was printed by Toppan, Carpenter, Casilear and Company (TCC).
The margin imprint slightly enhances it value. It makes it easier to identify the position in the plate that the stamp came from.

They printed the 1 cent #18 issued 1861 too.

How do I find out about the plate numbers for this stamp? What is my best source for this.
