I just found a #393 on my floor! I don't know where it even came from either? I sat down to eat and it fell on the floor beside me so I looked it up and it's a perf 8˝ horiz. "TWO CENT" coil. I guess the stamp Gods smiled on me today! I'll scan it in a little bit here.

Jeff, I'm not an expert at this at all, but the perfs are really funny looking on the left side. Very perfect looking. Could be a 394, but I'd love to see other opinions on the perfs.

Hoping I'm wrong here....Ray

I think it's legit but then again there are known to be ones manufactured out of the imperfs. Hope not. It has the watermark.

I agree with the left side looking very suspicious.

I can't see horizontal perfs on this one...

And so you shouldn't. That's because it's a horizontal coil not a vertical coil (which does have horizontal perforations)

The left perfs are parallel before rounding off. On the right they slant down. Weird.

See how the perfs on the left are parallel before hitting the bottom. On the right they slant to the bottom of the perf. Weird.

I think it looks legit. The spacing and position of the perfs are identical on both sides. The "weird" slant on the right appears to have been caused by the normal tearing (separation) of the paper between the holes. I'd put in my album as a 393 and appreciate it.

Very nice - that's one of the few pages in my album that doesn't have at least one stamp :)

Hope it comes back with good results. The Stamp itself has great margins and VF centering at the least.
