I was wondering if you found info on where to buy pre-cancels. the website www.precancels.com lists many dealers for precancels. You can find bargains occasionally on www.ebay.com/b/260/" rel="nofollow">ebay.

Is there even anything good in precancel kiloware ? Are they advertised as "unsearched" like the misleading coin ads. Sounds like they might be a dealer's rejects.

Many times they are dealer rejects, not because they are bad, but the dealer does know how or wish to deal with the complexity of pricing or organizing it may take.
Many also come from estates or old collectors who for personal reasons no longer wish to collect the precancels.
If they say they are unsearched they likely are the precancel community of sellers is small the integrity is generally high.
Precancels are likely the most interesting and fun aspect of the US stamp collecting, inexpensive and there's great stuff to be found.

Good Collecting!
